‘In a post created specifically for this challenge, share a photo that captures the threshold — that point just before the action happens, that oh-so-sweet moment of anticipation before that new beginning. It could be a door about to open, or something a bit more metaphorical like a flower about to bloom. Looking forward to seeing how you capture “threshold.”’ This is the challenge Krista at the WordPress Photo Challenge is giving us in this week’s challenge! Hmm…what photos do I have that fits this challenge? Let’s go take a look!
Let’s start with this one! Here are a number of river rafters on the threshold of going into the rapids on the South Fork of American River…
I cannot describe the feeling one gets when entering an old gold mine shaft! What will we find beyond?
On the metaphorical side…Here is a black-eyed Susan on the threshold of opening!
What lies beyond the throat of this lovely orchid?
Ready for a nap? Here is our dear sweet Toby on the threshold of a dream!
Did I do OK? Be sure to check out other entries by clicking here!
Have an amazing Saturday and enjoy your weekend! Thanks, of course, for dropping by!

I enjoyed the cat photo and look forward to coming back to your blog.
The cat was our little guy Toby! He adopted us a few years back. He is one of the sweetest cats! Stop on by again soon!
Loved the first photo! That would scare me right over the threshold (bow/front??) into the water!
Thanks K!
I love what you did for “threshold.” Very nice! I love the mine, by the way. Would love to go inside! 🙂
Thank you Debra! The mine was really cool. You had a device that looked like a remote control. You pressed the corresponding number for where you were inside the mine and it gave you information about that particular area of the mine. The cost of this visit was $3, and was well worth it! Here is the link to my post: Gold Bug Mine.

Each of your photos does capture ‘on the threshold’. The best, I think, and can associate with readily, is the photo of Toby being ready for a nap – very cute! Thanks for sharing your great photos.
Thanks PJ!

very kewl 🙂
Thank you Quark!
Good photo interpretations of “threshold.” My favorite is the raft about to take the plunge. I can almost feel my stomach in my throat!
Thanks Marcy!
