I wanted to feature some of the other photos that I took last Sunday when I ventured out in the rain! What is amazing to me is how the colors come up after getting wet! So let’s go check it out, shall we?
There was just something really lovely about the rainwater dripping off of this oak tree. The background is one of the many ponds in the area.
As you know I see faces in nature where ever I go! Here is another face!
One of my new projects here at the house involves used wine barrels. Using my 55-250mm lens I tried to capture the rain drops bouncing up from the surface of these barrels!
Here is a photo of one of the local streams. This area has been dry since last April.
Patterns, patterns, patterns! I just love them! Check out the patterns in this water shot! I see a face in the water. Do you?
One last shot. This bowl filled up from the rain. I like the ripples…
The storm just past was the biggest storm that we have had in the last 14 months! This week we are drying out, but the good news is that we have another storm coming this weekend! Maybe the temperatures will drop and I will get the snow that I miss so much! 🙂
Holy cow! It is Wednesday! Where did this week go? Well, thanks for dropping in and have a wonderful day!
beautiful pics (as usual!)
Thank you Arturo!
Beautiful! I wished it rain more!!
Me too! We need all that we can get!
Agreed! 🙂
🙂
I especially like the oak branches, the stream and the water in the bowl. Lovely photos, Barb!
Thank you Marcy! Glad that you enjoyed the photos!
Yes, I saw the bear! Nice photos.
Amazing isn’t it to see a bear in rushing water? Thank you Anneli!
Happy to read about your rain news and seeing the pictures. More rain on the way, that’s a welcome forecast. The leaves on the trees are a more vibrant green after being washed by rain water.
We too are happy about the upcoming rain! I am glad that you saw the colors pop too! Thanks for the comment Roy!
Rain? Here it is drought, drought and more drought. I wish people would stop watering their lawns!
The water district in this county has asked people to cut back by 30%. So this friend tells me it is just she and her husband. They have cut back, but they are not told how they can cut back more. We are truly saddened by those who still water their grounds; have ample water in their pools; business who have fountains that might recycle, but taking into consideration the warm temperatures, one has to ask what is the evaporation rate and why are they refilling those fountains? The biggest users of water in this state according to a recent report are schools and all the government buildings….
So glad you are getting the needed rain. Do you want some of OUR snow??
Absolutely! Send it back to us!
Lovely. Dark and beautiful. 🙂
Glad you enjoyed the photos!
I did see the bear in the one photo, but didn’t really see a face in the other……..I’ll have to look some more. Nice photos of the H2O, and I agree that everything looks more colorful when wet – maybe because the dust is washed away. Thanks for sharing.
The face that you missed is in the upper right corner!
