Family is the subject of this week’s photo challenge. Family can be a number of different things. Josh, over at WordPress, says this of family: “The interpretations of “family” are as varied as families themselves. If you shy away from posting photos of yourself or loved ones online, then show us any kind of family — a gaggle of ducklings, a copse of trees, a row of identical buildings.” So, here we go into my vision of family!
Thank you for stopping by today and enjoy your Saturday!

Love your selection Barb! 🙂
Thank you LuAnn!
I love the turkeys! There’s something endearing in their awkwardness. LOL!
It is fun coming across them and stopping to watch them! We have a lot of these critters here in the foothills!
We need to get together soon! I will send you some poetry or if you have special photos you would like to share, send them to me. Hugs! Hope you are staying warm 😉
Looking forward to it Sharla! We are warm here. Temps during the days in the mid 70’s. Very unusual for this time of year! I hope that you are staying warm!
Nice photos! These days, the notion of family has expanded to include a variety of non-traditional permutations. And in the animal kingdom, I love the examples we’ve seen of one species adopting another, e.g., a gorilla mothering a kitten, a dog mothering a fawn, a tiger nursing a row of piglets dressed up like baby tigers. If that’s not family, what is? As for me, I count my two dogs as part of my family. 🙂
And I am counting you in my family Marcy! Hugs!
Asked GOOGLE and learned that a group of wild turkeys is referred to as a flock. A group of domesticated turkeys is a rafter. Flock, rafter or gaggle, it’s still a family of turkeys. You nailed this photo challenge.
Thanks for the information Roy and for the comment! I appreciate it!
