Lingnum Draco over at WordPress has chosen the topic “Vivid” for this week’s photo challenge. So, let’s head into my world of what vivid means to me. I hope that you enjoy the photos!
When we were on the “Big Island” of Hawai’i, these little guys stuck out with their bright colors.
A splash of red is always vivid for me.
There are lilies that grow around the area, and the contrast in colors fit this week’s challenge too.
This lovely sunset, this photo taken from my back deck, certainly fits the bill.
What do you think about this sunflower?
The rose of sharon in our yard is quite pretty. Don’t you just love the red contrasting the white?
One more shot…I just love peonies. How about you?
Well, thanks for stopping by today. It’s the start of the weekend. Make it a good one, OK? Be well… ^..^
I love the first photo !
The geckos on the big island are definitely colorful. When I was on Oahu years ago, the geckos there are a plain brown.
simply amazing!
Thanks Moon!
You have a good variety of vivid colors. Lovely photos too! 🙂
Thanks!
Very vivid…well done!
Thank you!
Beautiful choices.:)
Thank you Susan! I had too many to choose from. I love vivid colors!
Beautiful. Your Shades of Gold is particularly appealing to me. Oh how I wish I could afford a really good macro lens. Very nice work, Barbara.
Thank you. I do not have a macro lens. There is a way to trick your camera and that is with what is called an extension tube. These run about $75-150 U.S. The extension tube attaches to your lens, and then the tube attaches to the camera. You have to use this lens in manual mode. It takes a bit of getting used to but I like what I get.
I’ll have to look into that. Thanks for letting me know. 🙂
You are welcome!
I saw that startling-green image of the gecko this morning – wow it’s gorgeous’! the ctenosaur/iguana that suns on the big rocks on the river is not so colorful. Yours is a definite winner! you and i also share a love of pretty flowers as well.
That gecko was amazing. They like eating jelly from the little containers you get when you go out for breakfast. They sing nicely too. When in HI we had one that lived in the air conditioner and it sang to us every night. Hope you are feeling better.
Wow! Those are gorgeous! And Gordy Gecko? How cute!!!! 🙂
Thanks Marcybee!
Beautiful colors and pictures.
Thank you Connie! I am glad that you like my selection of photos.
It is impossible to imagine a world without color, especially the bright, vivid ones you captured in your photos.
It is hard to imagine!
Fantastic colour!!!
Thanks!
