The team headed toward the island not sure what they would find when they arrived. Their orders were specific: “You are to disembark where the stream meets the bay. Follow the stream up one mile and investigate the clearing. Report back.”
The team arrived at the shore. Walking in single file along the edge of the stream, they could see the clearing up ahead. As they arrived, the team leader barked orders for them to spread out in groups. Vanessa was in charge of her group and headed towards the south of the clearing.
Keeping silent, they began to notice a humming, and the team moved stealthily to the spot where the sound emanated. At the edge of the clearing, they found an unusual nest. Tucked inside were the biggest eggs any of them had ever seen!
The humming sound grew louder, each one feeling the vibration of it. Then the trees parted and they found themselves eye to eye with one huge dinosaur!

This is my entry into the Mondays Finish the Story challenge! Will you take the challenge too?
Thank you for dropping by and have a great day!
Ooh, this could get interesting. It’s not often you find a giant humming egg — even less often finding a dinosaur. I hope they’re fast runners. Really enjoyed this story Babs. I hope there are lots more to come; with or without dinosaurs 😉
There will be more Lyn! How about joining the challenge and you write a story too?
Cute story. Hope others will add their’s for some fun reading.
Thank you! Me too! 🙂
