The subject of this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge is “Fresh.” What could be fresher than vegetables just picked from the garden? Let’s see what we can come up with from the garden, shall we?
There is nothing tastier than fresh corn from the garden!
I just love acorn squash! Fresh is best!
Zucchini grows like crazy here, and I love it fresh picked! Cucumbers too!
Fresh raspberries from the garden? You betcha! They are so sweet and great in a fruit salad, or blended into a beverage or frozen yogurt!
Tomatoes in the grocery stores today lack the flavor of home grown. Here are some right out of the garden!
French fries fresh from the garden! These fresh Yukon golds make excellent fries!
I almost forgot about the strawberries! Freshly picked…and still producing…
I hope that you enjoyed this fresh post! Now go have a great Friday, and thank you for the visit today!

look too beautiful to cook.
Thank you for the comment Candy! They might look too beautiful to cook, but they are so sweet to eat!

Love how the corn stalks stack up like the image in your header!
Thank you Stephanie!
Fresh corn is so sweet. As kids we grew vegetables in the back yard. The corn was so good.
What a lovely memory for you Gaz! Corn is the sweetest when picked in the morning and cooked right away the same day!

Beautifully fresh! Now’s the season…enjoy 🙂
Thank you for the comment Veronica! Everything from the garden is good because it is fresh!
I like how you grow all that. The yellow tomato looks great.
The yellow tomato is an heirloom. Pineapple I think is what they call it. These need to picked as soon as they change or they get mushy! They do taste great and have a lovely yellow and pink when sliced! Thank you Connie for the comment!
i returned home and saw the queue of ‘fresh’ posts.. when i opened yours, wow, that corn definitely got my attention and reminded me that i had not stopped for lunch!!!
great post, and would you please send servings of all of the above? that way i can start painting and will look forward to the delivery!
Send up the magic carpet and I will fill it until it is full and then send it back to you! How was the trip?
the trip was great, thanks! i’ll see if i can load up a big batch of shrimp and send to you… i fear the magic carpet needs some gps tweaking; it overshot the last flight plan and brought back four wooden crates of sawdust from who knows where!
Would love some fresh shrimp! Another “fresh” idea! Hey there is a fellow in Nicaragua who wants you to drop by with some fresh corn…Maybe on your next return trip?
i’ll send the magic carpet to your place then have it swoop down in nicaragua!
Many thanks! Bringing up that fresh shrimp?
Oh, my! You are making me hungry! Fruit and veggies…YUM!
Nothing better than fresh! Hugs Sharla and thank you for the card! I hope that Jim enjoyed his…have not checked email today – busy day!
Just sent you a message a short while ago. 🙂
Cooking dinner and will be checking email in the morning! Will let you know what is happening here….hugs for the evening! Loads of love!
OK – now I’m hungry from all those delectable photos. Nice!
Barb, I know envy is wrong but I do envy your garden. With all the work on the house and traveling back and forth between two places, I can’t have one, which is sad. Our rental house, while beautifully landscaped, has little to no room for any new plantings, so I’ll have to go to container gardening…but not this year. Enjoy your lovely produce!
janet
Swing on by Janet and we will have plates of fresh cooked veges for us to share! Care for a BBQ too?

Oh what I wouldn’t give for fresh corn on the cob and strawberries!!! Nothing like that in my part of the world.
Lisa in Ecuador might be sending up her magic carpet and I can have her stop on the way back…Interested? Thank you for your comment!
I’ll be watching for Lisa’s magic carpet. 🙂
I will let her know to stop by!
An incredible bounty, and beautiful photos! Those tomatoes! I’ve not had a ‘good’ tomato in years… these look just right… fresh indeed! You all have a good weekend
There is nothing like a tomato from the garden! You have a good weekend too!
I want to come to your garden!
Alison – come on up! You can help me harvest! Thank you for your comment!
Don’t tempt me. Where are you?
The Sierra Foothills east of Sacramento!
Ooh. Kind of far but maybe worth it!
🙂
Reblogged this on Visions In My Mind.
Thank you for the reblog!
Now – that’s a nice garden!
Lovely vegetables! Thank you RoSy for the comment!
I’m glad I do not have to WORK in your garden, though I am very sad I do not get your rewards 😉
You can do a lot in pots and get the same results! Thank you Fran for the comment!
