I wanted to take today to share with you some other photos that I took at the San Diego Zoo. There was so much to see, and I took so many photos…where do I begin? Shall we walk through the zoo together?
Do you remember the movie “The Lion King?” Well, I was able to capture some photos of some of the cast. Let’s start with that cute Meerkat who was named Timon…
And the Warthog was named Pummba, remember?
Then there were the three hyenas. Laughing little fellows! Check this one out!
OK, aside from “The Lion King” characters there were some pretty cool animals. One of the most striking things was one of the first sights: It was a dog who was best buddies with a cat. Not just any cat, but a Cheetah!
Did you know that there really is a Cheshire Cat? No, really there is! While I did not catch it smiling I did capture its tail!
Some of the faces of the creatures that we saw were very expressive. See what you think.
Others are a bit more laid back.
Like I said at the beginning of this post, I took a lot of photos! So, stay tuned for Part II!
Thanks for the visit today! I hope your day has been excellent!
Nice selection of photos of other inhabitants of our planet. Like the Chessire cat tail, I’m sure there was a smile at the other end!
There probably was! Thank you PJ!
you captured some amazing photos! great work! z
Thank you Z! Stay tuned for Part II!
i’m opening pretty feet now, though the connection is now slothlike! 😦
Hope you like the winner Z!
So clever! I loved the Cheshire Cat!
It was an amazing tail on a critter that I cannot remember the name of. There were two in the enclosure. One in the tree and the other running around on the ground. It was most adorable but I was unable to catch a clear photo!
Hi thanks for posting!

Must have been a glitch with WP. I put my post out at 3:55 p.m. My husband just told me that he got the email notification about 5 hours later…
My California aunt took me to the San Diego Zoo when I was ten, and it was a wonderful two days; we stayed in a hotel and went back the next day–it was the most wonderful gift for a 10-year-old’s birthday! These pictures were a return trip!
Glad you enjoyed the post Marylin! Stay tuned for Part II!
