Pink and Pretty!

This year my pink peonies bloomed later than the white ones. I have no idea why. And, there was only one bloom! It still is a glorious flower and I wanted to share with you this lovely blossom! so let’s head out into the garden – shall we?

I’ll Take Mine Sunny Side Up!

Before dashing off for chemo treatments, today and tomorrow, I wanted to do a quickie post of the most glorious flower right now in my garden! This flower is the first of the peonies to open, and are the ones featured with all of the ants in a previous post! The colors on this glorious bloom reminds me of, what else, food! Hee hee! If you know my passions, then you will know that photography and food go hand in hand! My husband rolled his eyes at me when I told him what I was doing for this post!

How do you like your eggs? I like mine sunny side up! A bit like this actually! That is without the garden bugs!

Getting Antsy!

Every year, before the peony blossoms erupt in their glorious shades of pinks and whites, the ants move in. There must be something savory on the blossom heads that attracts them each year. Today, on a trip down to the peony bed, I added some photos to the ones that I took the other day. Would you like to check out the ants with me? Let’s go!

If you look closely at this photo, you can almost see this little ant looking at you!

If this was a world, then they have it covered!

They truly are colorful. I can see stripes on their rear ends!

Something in that one area must taste pretty good! They keep going back to the one spot where they seem to congregate!
