One of the things I like to do is to play with photos using my Painter’s Essential program. I recently did a post called “Lights on the Water,” and today I wanted to share with you the photos turned into art! I will start by showing you the original photo and then the “painting” I did with my software!

When we were on our cruise I was hypnotized by the lights reflecting on the surface of the water. So, of course I had to take photos and I hoped that they would come out well. I was very pleased with what I got, and I thought that today I would share these photos with you.

I started off with a photo at night of the pier in Ensenada.

My eyes were caught by the ripples in the water. To me the reflections resemble people standing around. What do you think?

Moving from the water around the ship, I turned my attention to the water inside the ship. The lights reflecting off the water look like works of art. Please let me know if you agree!

I was struck by the beauty of the lights in the square in the town of Prescott, Arizona. During the day, unless you look close, you will not notice any of the strings of lights. But at night, the lights really shine, and they are beautiful! I wanted to share these lights with you!

I love this time of year! I love the decorations, the lights, and giving to those who mean something to me in my life! And I love all the Christmas movies! They are about love and what can be better than focusing on love? Love for your spouse, or potential spouse, family, friends, and the love for others you might not know. This time of year gives me very warm feelings about life and love, caring and sharing, and this is what I truly love about the holiday season!

We have decorated our house. At least on the outside! I threw my back out this weekend. We were to do the inside. With my limited mobility, and I am better than I was, and we will be giving this a go later in the week!

Our Christmas decorations in 2007:

And our lights in 2011:

My favorite holiday movies: Miracle on 34th Street with Natalie Wood; The Santa Clause with Tim Allen; Scrooged with Bill Murray; and, It’s a Wonderful Life with Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed.

Happy holidays to everyone! And may the Upcoming New Year be blessed for you all!
