This week’s WordPress challenge is a real challenge! The topic is resolved. How does one photograph this topic? What they are asking for is this: “Resolved. This is that time of year, isn’t it? Full of resolutions and good intentions. I resolved to get in a run on January 1st – this is a photo post-run. Spoiler: it was a good one! Why not share a photo which represents one of your New Year’s resolutions? If you don’t make them, what about sharing a photo which represents something you’d like to get better at in photography this year?”

Well, I generally do not make resolutions, and roaming through old photos here is what I came up with…

Beware to our card playing neighbors! I resolve to be a better card player!

Winning more card games against the neighbors

This year, I will not go overboard in the greenhouse!

Too many vege plants!

When I go fishing, (Ready Dale, Barb and Wayne?), I will catch a huge fish!

I will launch a photography website and start selling my photographs!

I was very happy that so many answered what they thought were the photos in yesterday’s blog post. Today, I give you the answers…Are you ready?

Madison's toes

Madison’s toes

The above photo is my cat Madison’s toes. See the upper left corner of the photo and you see where her little, sharp, deadly claw is hiding! Same with where the two toes look joined…

The center of a clover leaf

Good guesses everyone! Maybe this one was too easy!

Pink and gold

Fushia was the guess for most. This is actually the center of a nectarine blossom! Amazingly beautiful, and tasty fruit comes from this beautiful blossom! The colors in the blossom are also found in the fruit itself!

Spines and hair from my cactus

Spines and hair from my cactus

The photo above is a close up of just one of many centers of spines from my cactus whose name is “Old Man of the Andes.” I bought two of these in hopes of foiling the squirrels from jumping on my deck, being deterred by the nasty looking spines. Needless to say, I have two beautiful cactus, and the squirrels? Well, they jumped the spikes missing every time! My deck always looked as if GI Joe had been there tossing hand grenades…soil was everywhere and plants did not survive being uprooted! The squirrel earned the moniker of GI Joe!

Snow on bark

Snow on bark

Good guesses on this one, however the caption shows the real answer!

I hope that you had fun with this and maybe we should do it again! What do you think?

Thanks in advance for your comments, and have a great Tuesday!

P.S. Not counting today, less than a week until Christmas….are you ready? 🙂
