I certainly am. This has been one strange summer weather-wise here in the Sierra Foothills. We have had more cloudy days then ever, rain and even cooler temperatures. This coming week the temps are slated to be only in the 80’s.
Because of spring starting so early, trees and shrubs are already changing making it appear to be an early fall. It is not early at all considering their time line. They do not use our calendar, so for them, they are right on time. Here are some photos of the fall I am looking forward to.
The season will be changing in about 3 weeks. Being housebound has been hard but I hear there are rumors of a road trip and I will be bringing the camera along. Have a great weekend, and I hope that you enjoyed today’s photos.
Be well… ^..^
I love Autumn and all the colours it brings. I look forward to seeing more pictures of it’s effects on your part of the world. 🙂
It will be nice to get out of the house! 🙂
It’s no fun being house bound so let’s hope the rumors come true. As for your photos the colors sure are autumn representatives. Here’s hoping you get a colorful one and a wet one as well to help your drought.
We are looking forward to rain. Copious amounts of rain.
I love Fall too here in Toronto: the cooler weather, the colours of the season, the crisp morning air. Certainly my favourite season here.
It must be just beautiful there.
I will try to remember to post some pictures.
🙂
Certainly does have the look of autumn. Wondering if el niño has anything to do with the early changes.
The trees and shrubs are turning color after their predestined time of flourishing. That would just be normal and not El Niῆo.
Definitely take your camera along if you go anywhere. Great fall pics, Barb. The smokebush is one of my favourites.
The colors are so wonderful on that shrub all through the seasons.
That’s right. From the purple phase to the orangey time. And the tiny white flowers are a nice touch too.
Did I mention how much the bees enjoy this plant? They cover it when it is in bloom.
If Fall means cooler temps, then I can’t wait. I’m stuck home this weekend after travelling all over the place this month. I injured my knee, so I can’t windsurf or paddle. And there is no wind at the delta anyway 😦 Your photos are stunning!!
Thanks Terri and hurry up and mend that knee of yours! Cooler temps all week, with a high of 81 on Wednesday! And, that is where you live.
I’ll take it! Hopefully my knee will allow me to play next weekend 🙂
I hope that you get to play next week.
