Ben Huberman over at WordPress has chosen the topic “Half and Half” for this week’s photo challenge. He says, “…share an image that has two clear halves, literally or figuratively. You could focus on composition, like me, and take a photo with an explicit dividing line (either vertical, horizontal, or diagonal). Or take the theme in other directions: zoom in on a pair of objects that together form a whole. Show two people whose demeanor or personality complement each other. Or bring into balance two opposing visual elements β light and dark, color and its absence, sharp focus juxtaposed with blurriness.”
Here is my world of half and half.
Half smooth, half rough.
Two halves of a wine barrel.
Acorn squash cut in half.
Split image in a reflection.
Half on, half off.
The top half and bottom half.
There you have it! A world of halves. Thank you for stopping by today! Be well… ^..^
All are lovely but I loved the dog. π
He is a cutie! Thanks Norma!
Is it yours Barbara?
No. The dog belongs to my friend Jane’s cousin Shirley.
It is really cute…like a soft toy. If I may ask which breed is it (I love these ones but do not know)? π
I have no idea what kind of dog it is, but is sure is cute!
It is. π
Love the dog half on step, half hanging down!
π
The barrel is way cool. Great gallery.
Thanks Cee!
Great photos for this challenge. Love that reflection!
Thanks!
I like that first photo!
I love patterns and that was a cool one taken on a cruise ship.
I don’t visit those I ‘follow’ often enough. Love these ‘half and half’ photos. I’m developing a project I call ‘Below the Line’ which is similar, because (I suggest) what is above ‘the line’ begins with what happens ‘below’ the line. As Hermes Trismegistus said (apparently): ‘As above, so below’. π
Thank you for stopping by and I am glad that you enjoyed the photos. I had to look that saying up!
I hope to be back in the foothills soon. π
I hope all goes well with your transition.
π
Interesting challenge! Love the photos π
Thanks!
Nice variety!
Thank you Anneli!
Hi! Loved your take on the prompt. Loved the dog too.
Thank you Indira!
The sea photo is great, such a good moment to have captured. It’s strange how the current gives both sides such a different colour.
It is amazing isn’t it? am glad that you enjoyed the photos!
