Wouldn’t it be great if we, humans, could all just learn to live together and coexist peacefully? I took a series of photos after seeing for myself how this is possible. The lesson came from watching the birds in my area.
Imagine a world where we can all live together side by side in peace. None of these birds make fun of one another because their feathers are different colors, or that some are bigger some are smaller.
Imagine a world where we can share without bickering.
Imagine a world where everyone of us cooperates with others without anger, greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, envy or pride.
Imagine a world where there is no fighting.
Imagine living in a world of peace.
Wouldn’t that be a wonderful world? Think about the trees in the forest. Oaks, pines, madrones, tamarack, all share the forest floor. They do not ridicule one another for the differences in their bark. They do not fight each other for ground. They live in peace.
Every day nature shows us a world living in peace. We, humans, just need to stop and take notice that we too can live in a world of peace.
Here is John Lennon, singing one of my favorite songs: “Imagine.” Credit of the video goes to JohnLennonMusic. The video begins with a commercial (sorry about that) and you can click on the bottom right to skip the ad.
Be well… ^..^
this morning i was watching the birds on the river and pondering the same thoughts. the frigates, herons and cormorants all share the mangroves – some of them ‘perch’ in certain sections, but the all get along well – until an osprey comes along and torments a weaker one… the other species get quiet upset, and the frigates usually come and chase the osprey… it’s heartwarming to watch a frigate chase an osprey that’s chasing a sea gull!
It is truly amazing what nature shows us, if only, we give ourselves the time to stop and notice! Hugs to you Z!
This is an awesome post. I also wish we could be like those different birds. Would you be interested to take part in “five photos, five stories” for five days?
I want to nominate you to do it!
Thank you Scrapydo! I wish we could be like the birds…Thank you for the five photos, five stories, five days and wanting to nominate me. I sadly have to decline. I find that I am already doing too much and I have to be careful with my health condition. Hugs – ^..^
I totally understand You have to look after yourself while you have the strength to do so. Glad I asked you first before nominating you. You just have to take it easy and you are in my thoughts all the time. LOL
I will! Having chemo today, and 8 more to go over the next 16 months. I will be glad when this is all done! Be well…
It is hard on body and soul but you’ll get there. Prays go out to you…
Thanks!
Yes, animals live in peace with each other, co-existing in harmony. However, they also fight to the death for food, mates and territory. Nature can be frightfully violent. I think the same can be said for human beings. As a rule, we live in peace with each other. Otherwise the entire planet would be engulfed in warfare. On the other hand, as we see in the news on a daily basis, we can also be frightfully violent. So, I think the animal and human world are quite similar. However, we do differ in motivation. Animals are innocent, incapable of malice or evil. Unfortunately, we humans, who should know better, are not.
Well said Marcybee!
AWESOME POST AS USUAL!
Thank you BR!
It would be truly nice! Just think if all the governments of the world used all the money they spend on weapons and war to actually help the world. Sadly human history shows that that will never happen. Nice story and something Nature can do but humans??
Thanks for the comment PJ!
What a beautiful post Barb. I enjoyed listening to John Lennon’s song, Imagine, again. It would truly be a wonderful thing for there to be world peace.
Thank you Joy! It would be great if we could live in a world of peace!
