It is time once again for a story to be told for the Friday Fictioneers flash fiction challenge! The rules indicate that you write a complete story using 100 words or less. Your story must go along with the subject in the photo prompt provided. Here is the photo and my story entitled “An Unlikely Observation.”
It was a clear night, the air was crisp, and the stars twinkled. Each astronomer had their scopes focused on a new nebula forming in the Trimidean sector of Orion. All at once, each astronomer heard a buzzing sound. In a flash, they were in a room with grey creatures eating pizza, drinking wine and listening to music.
The greys raised their glasses to the astronomers. Just as quickly as they arrived, they were back on the ground on the road that led to the observatories. They looked at one another. No one would believe what each had just observed!
