I knew that they were watching me. It was that gut feeling. You know the one that I mean. I always ask myself, “Self? Are you listening? Who wants to argue my gut?” Usually, that feeling is right. Something is not write.
It was no different today. Try as I might to reach Joe Owens, the now host, who seems to have disappeared, of Sunday Photo Fiction, my attempts failed. They were watching, and the proverbial “they” had blocked the photo for this week’s flash fiction challenge!
Not wanting to be thwarted from my weekly writing event, I contacted all the commenters of the challenge. I had to let them all know that they were not alone! I had to let them know that there was that secret government agency that had hijacked Joe!
I contacted Agent Al Forbes, of the A.W.O.L., Association of Writers Oversight League, because what else could I do? My Sunday was all out of whack! How can I write a story for a flash fiction challenge, when there is NO PHOTO? Arrgghhhhh….
Being sympathetic to my plight and that of many others, I decided that I would not stand for the Sunday Photo Fiction photo being censored!
To each and every one of you who write for this challenge: Let’s protest against the censorship that has taken our joy of Sunday away! Joe is missing in action, and even so, let us write about those who have censored the weekly photo by Hannah Duncan!
Be there, or be square, or, just write! Let nothing stand in the way of our enjoyment of writing for the Sunday Photo Fiction!
I have done my job…now you do yours!
