I am taking part, once again, in Friday Fictioneers! It is a challenge where you are provided with a photo prompt. The challenge is to write a story with a beginning, middle and end using 100 words or less. And the photo this week is:
She had stopped into the gift shop looking at little souvenirs to bring home. A man stopped next to her. He was looking forward, but she could see him looking at her from the corner of his eye.
She left the store creeped out. She entered the next shop. Looking at the t-shirts, she saw him enter the store. She moved past a corner of the store out of his view, where she could see him but he could not see her. She heard him whisper, “Where is she?”
Leaving the store, she let herself get lost in the crowd!

Thank you Rochelle for hosting the flash fiction challenge! I am looking forward to your next installment!
Thank you dear reader for dropping in for a quick Thursday read! Have a marvelous day, and be well! ^..^
Yikes! For once a crowd comes in handy. Well told and suspenseful.
Thank you Margaret! Took this from life experience!
Oh no! Horrible. But it’s good that you could turn it into a story anyway.
It was an event I shall not forget!
Now you got me wondering what happens to the young lady… And who was the man following her.
It’s a mystery! 🙂
Disturbing read.
Well crafted flash.
Thank you!
Sounds as though she was lucky to get away! Good heads-up thinking.
janet
Thank you Janet. This was based on something that happened to me in the 1980’s.
Creepy. Nicely done.
KT
Thank you KT! This happened to me in more detail at a public flea market where I had to evade the fellow with the help of security.
Dear Babso,
Predator and prey in the eternal dance of the jungle. Well done.
Aloha,
Doug
Thank you Doug! Aloha!
Creepy! I would be totally freaked out
I was when this happened to me! Thank you for the comment! 🙂
Dear Barb,
A well written bit of cat and mouse creepiness. Good build of tension.
Shalom,
Rochelle
Thank you Rochelle! This happened to me once, but with the limit of only 100 words I could not capture all of what really happened. I am still creeped out after all these years!
My sister and I had that experience in Morocco many years ago. It really is creepy.
That happened to me at the Roseville Flea Market. I actually had to go to security!
There are all kinds of creeps out there. This is why I don’t walk around with blinders on (headphones, etc.)
There certainly are! A good thing to remember is to always be aware of your surroundings!
PS Would you like to share some of your writing secrets with others by commenting on my post at http://annelisplace.wordpress.com ?
Just did! Thanks and I think I probably wrote too much! 🙂 oops!
I forgot to include passion!
Good short story, yet it leaves one wanting to know more.
Thank you PJ!
