Donncha Ó Caoimh has come up with the subject “Relic” for this week’s WordPress Photo Challenge! He suggests that we share photos of what this topic means to us! So here we go with my version of relic!
From days past, here is a still standing relic from days gone by: The Jerome Grand Hotel, which was built in 1900.
Living in the Sierra Foothills, there are many old relics that date back to the gold mining days. Here is one such historic building found in Murphys, CA.
Old wagons can still be found in our area. This one is in the town of Columbia.
Here is a relic of days gone by. This wall is one of the last standing at the Kinishba Ruins in Arizona.
This tree is a different relic that the others above. This is one of the fallen trees found at Big Trees State Park. I believe this tree was about 1,500 years old! The man in the photo is 6’5.5″ tall!
One more…This relic is found on the island inside of Emerald Bay at Lake Tahoe. Check out the little building on the peak of the Island. You will see it better if you click on the photo!
I hope that you enjoyed these photos of relics! Enjoy your Friday and thank you for taking the time to drop in!
Be well! ^..^
