There were five giraffes at the Sacramento Zoo. For $3.00 you could feed a giraffe. Or, you could still stand close enough to get some good photos, which I did! There was one that was off in the distance that kept eye contact with me. I felt he was listening to me as I spoke softly and only to him. He is the feature photo. The others are the rest that I got to observe and enjoy! I hope that you will enjoy these critters too!
I spoke to this giraffe and asked him to raise his ears for me so that I could get a good photo of him. He finally did, and I was rewarded with this lovely face!
This one, heard me speaking too, but was very shy about having its photo taken!
I will have to say, that these creatures have the most amazing patterns on their fur. Think of it as freckles just like we have only theirs are a bit more uniform. But they are still freckles!
I was able to catch this shot of a young gal around 6 squealing with joy as she fed this giraffe!
The giraffe was happy too and licked his lips as his finished the tasty morsel!
This fellow was saying a lot to me. Can you see it too?
As a tribute to this enclosure was a lovely statue depicting a giraffe. I focused on its face.
This is the largest animal at the Sacramento Zoo. There were no elephants, rhinos, or hippos, but there was a lot to see! We had a good time! There are more photos to come as I recuperate from my treatment, so stay tuned!
Thank you for dropping by and be well!
