This year my pink peonies bloomed later than the white ones. I have no idea why. And, there was only one bloom! It still is a glorious flower and I wanted to share with you this lovely blossom! so let’s head out into the garden – shall we?
Here is one lovely blossom!
Isn’t it pretty? Check out this side view.
The center of this blossom is just beautiful!
One more side view!
I would love to have more of these lovely flowers in my yard! Trouble is that they need to be caged as the gophers find them very tasty!
Have a wonderful Wednesday, and thank you for stopping by! Be well!
Nice photos, and some good close ups. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you PJ!
Pretty in pink. Gorgeous peony. Only one blossom? Darn those gophers.
Thanks! Not the gophers! Not sure why only one bloom!
G’day! I LOVE pink flowers Barb! Thanks for brightening my day!
Cheers! Joanne
Thank you for brightening mine with a visit! Hugs!
That’s a gorgeous bloom. Like a ballerina’s tutu. Thanks!
Turn it upside down and it would be! I love this peony!
I haven’t really worked much with macro photography. It’s something I think I’m going to have to start paying a little bit more attention to. Thank you for sharing your great work.
Rather than using a macro lens I bought an extension tube. Does the same thing as a macro lens and it costs a whole lot less! You have to play with it using the manual mode on your camera as opposed to auto. Let me know if you try this!
Sounds good, thanks for the tips and will do.
Let me know if it works for you! Takes a bit of getting used to but with digital you can delete the ones that do not work out, or use the photo on one of those paint programs!
Oh how beautiful! I can smell them from here. Mine are about to open and I am afraid I’m going to miss them as I am traveling soon. Do you bring them inside ? I do, ants and all !
I would except they are loaded with ants!
I cut them and then leave them outside on the patio floor until the ants all leave ,,which they do pretty quickly . I give a final shake and it’s all good! They smell heavenly !
Will have to try that…Now they are mostly spent! 😦 Wish they would bloom all summer long!
So do I ! Mine are in full glory just now
Enjoy them!
I get in a plane tonight so at least I got one day of them !
Thanks Barb!
Enjoy them while you can! Have a good and safe trip!
Thank you!!!!!!!
Love them! Too bad about the gophers. I’d hate to lose plants to little critters. This year I transplanted some wine-red ones from the next door about to be construction site and I thought they’d pout and drop all their buds, but they’re starting to bloom! 😀
Wonderful for you! I am thinking of adding more!
