Now the term black widow is normally associated with that of the notorious spider, but it is also associated with women who kill their spouses. This is the tale of one black widow ….
She had a passion plants, particularly those that were poisonous. She discovered that by changing her posture, hair color, and demeanor, she was able to change her appearance. She was a master of language and picked up any language in relatively short time. And, she discovered she had a knack for enticing men.
Taking her passion for poisonous plants, and her other abilities, she decided early on that she would make her fortune utilizing her “gifts.” And, wealthy men were her target!
She was a wealthy woman and was now married to her fifth husband. George was a techie genius, and quite frankly, she was getting bored with him. She set her trap!
Tonight was the night she would sting him! After dinner she poured herself a glass of port and watched as her husband scooped out a bowl of his favorite poisoned ice cream. She took a sip of port. Suddenly her throat constricted, her vision blurred, muscles twitching. Looking up at him, he grinned.

Good twist ending as black widows are just to dangerous and should be taken care of. So – does this make George a black widower?
Thank you and yes it does!
Black Widow got her just deserts, huh. Black Widow is also a 1987 film starring Debra Winger that characterizes the female as the deadlier of the species. Movie was partly filmed on the Big Island of Hawaii. Like your story, an entertaining thriller. Liked the Hitchcockian ending.
Thank you Roy! I had that movie in mind too!
