One of the most amazing transformations here in the the Sierra Foothills is the moss. One day it is brown, then give us a bit of rain (in our case recently more than 9″) and voila: It goes green! A vibrant, cushy, spongy beautiful green. And, more than one shade of green…think of a green rainbow! From light greens to darker greens… So, do you want to take a walk with me into the shades of green? Let’s go check it out!
Here lovely shades of green adorn an oak tree limb…
With a strong wind, pieces of moss come loose from the trees and litter the ground.
Here is a piece that sits on the wooden boards of the small bridge over our stream out back. A nice contrast of colors!
This is one of the spongy mosses. I love the deep green!
This moss is stringier than the rest.
I loved the way the moss popped up on this fallen tree. Another nice contrast of color!
Stay tuned from some more photos of after the rain photos that I was able to capture! Have a terrific Tuesday, and thanks for visiting with me today!
