It takes a while these days to figure out how a new camera works, and the other day my husband surprised me with a little Canon PowerShot that I can carry in my purse. Today I wanted to show you some of the first photos I have taken with this camera as I try to get used to how it works…
Here is a shot of my evening cocktail using the fisheye setting…
This one is dishwasher safe!
We had a visitor in our yard and I was able to catch her!
A hummingbird stops to take a break…
The lovely batface plant!
I think I found bigfoot! He does not live in the Pacific Northwest, he lives in the Sierra Foothills!
Hopefully I will get better with this little camera! Thank you for stopping by today, and go out and have a terrific Tuesday!
Great post and great photos. My new camera is a Canon PowerShot SX40HS. It is GREAT! I have has a Canon S3 IS and an S5 IS, and the new one is the best yet. Now shoot everything you like…
I regularly use a Canon EOS Rebel XT. I love this camera! And I know my way around it! I still have a lot of work to do with this little one in order to get great shots!
Looks like you are getting a good grasp on the functions of your new camera. And – I didn’t know bigfoot was coming into the 21st century but guess he is since those socks sure make it seem so.
Huge, huge Bigfoot! Wouldn’t you say?
It’s always fun to play with new toys!
LOL on the Bigfoot sighting 😆
🙂
Some months ago, Bill got me a new Nikon digital SLR. With getting the house on the market, getting ready to move and moving, I have yet to figure out anything beyond point-and-shoot! There are so many “things” on the cameras now. 🙂 Hopefully I’ll have time soon to go through the DVD and start using it better.

I read the entire manual and am still trying to figure it out! 😦 Good things take time, right?
