This week, Cheri Rowlands at WordPress, chose the topic “Masterpiece” for this week’s photo challenge. Masterpieces can be found not only in art work but in things that surround us on a daily basis! Here are some of the masterpieces that I found in my neck of the woods!
Bark can be a masterpiece not only in its patterns but in the coloring of the wood, and the way that the bark peels, like the bark on this Madrone!
A masterpiece can be a few items thrown together that make a wonderful scene, like this one that I found at Miraflores winery.
I found this masterpiece at a nursery tucked away in the back where most do not venture!
The stone mason that put this masterpiece together is a true artist! This wall can be found on the main street in Murphys CA.
In the desert of Arizona, I discovered this masterpiece!
What better masterpiece than that of the Grand Tetons! And, grand they are!
Please take some time to check out some of the other posts at the WordPress Photo Challenge: Masterpiece.
Here are a few that I like:
Now go out and have a great Friday! Wahoo the weekend is almost upon us! Have a great one, and thank you for visiting!

G’day Barb!
Always like you see your photos, true!
As I always appreciate your unique view and thank you always for brightening my day too!
Cheers! Joanne
Thank you Joanne! Glad to have brightened your day!
All masterpieces indeed!
Why thank you RoSy!
Ahhhh! I have found some wonderful Masterpieces and the photos are outstanding!
Thank you Jolynn!
Beautiful selection of grand masterpieces Barbara!
Thank you also for sharing our contribution in this week’s challenge with your friends here at Life in the Foothills!
Many thanks to you! You have some wonderful photos! I miss our LetsBeWild photo challenges! How about you?
We do too Barbara, we do too 😦
I emailed Nick about two weeks ago and have not received a reply… That makes me very sad. I always had something to look forward to on Wednesday’s. I tried to get folks involved on my site for a photo challenge but not one person entered the challenge… 😦 Maybe we should put something together with others?
Hugs and have a great evening!
We also really enjoyed the Lets be Wild challenge because it fit so well with our theme at de Wets Wild. Let us know next time you try a photo challenge Barbara – we’d love to join in!
Will do! I went to their website and clicked on the editor email and sent another email. Maybe you could too? I suggested that they remove the tab from their site if they are not going further with the challenges. Or, announce when it will be starting back up…
Gladly Barbara!
Many thanks!
Wow for the desert sculpture!
Candy – Thank you! That won a photo challenge on the Let’s Be Wild Photo Challenge for the topic “Unusual!”
Deserved and what a good eye for a pic Mrs C has too then!!!!!!!!
Thanks again Candy!
Enjoy the weekend as much as I enjoyed your diverse masterpieces.

Thank you! You have a lovely photo too!
All original masterpieces can be found in nature then can be replicated by man. Your photos have captured both, very nice!
There are always originals to be found in nature! Many thanks PJ for the comment and the compliment!
Love your Grand Terons shot! Never had a real clear day when I was there. Your blue sky is glorious next to the snow caps!
For a photographer, clouds always make a great contrast to the color of the sky! That was an award winning photo on the Let’s Be Wild Photo Challenge where their topic was “Mountains!”
