Three years ago in June our pup Astro chased a cat up a tree. I was able to get it to come down bribing it with a can of cat food. He hung around for a couple of days and two weeks later returned and never left. This would be our sweet kitty Toby! Here is a photo of this adorable boy.
Of late we have been having regular visits from another cat. This one still a juvenile, and with a tail. Toby has no tail. We suspect that Toby and this kitty might be related. What do you think?
Now the hair is shorter on this kitten, but the coloring is so similar. Notice the striping and the orange in the face and the pink nose. Check out the markings on Toby’s feet and legs. In the coming photos check out those features on the new kitty.
Now, unlike Toby who was a little love bug right off the bat, this little guy is a bit shy and only last night let me touch him. This morning, this kitty let me catch some photos that I thought that I would share with you…
We have a bird feeder in the front, and here is the baby on the prowl for the birds at the feeder!
What do you think?
Are they related?
Have a great Saturday, and if you are in the hot zone, stay cool! Thanks for stopping by!
[…] on June 29th I wrote a blog entitled Are They Related. The post was about a little kitty who was making its home here around our house. It is unfortunate […]
Definitely could be related 🙂 Love the last photo ❤
🙂
G’day! They say we are all connected in some way! We recently lost our 15 years 8 months old cat named Astro…another connection indeed Barb! 🙂
Sorry for your loss Joanne! We are indeed connected in many ways my friend! Hugs to you and George!
Yes, they really do look related. Very similar and equally beautiful.
Thank you for the comments Marcy!
They very well may be related due to their similarities – only their mom and dad know for sure. Still they both look very sweet.
They are!
They very well might be! They both look beautiful!
Carine – I think that they are. We have folks up here who do not fix their cats so every year we find more and more babies. There is a place locally that will supply you with traps, and they do no euthanize. The cats all go to good homes…
Awww… little kitties. It is good that you have a no-kill shelter in your area. These kitties are gorgeous, I hope they find a home.
Carine – The fuzzy one lives with us in the house, the other is one that has just started to visit us. It is unfortunate that we have folks here who do not spay their animals…Every year there are more…
