With the hustle and bustle of everyday life going on around us, oftentimes people are too busy to take the time to see the macrocosm of life that surrounds them. This week’s Wild Weekly Photo Challenge is “Overlooked.”
For those that do not take the time, and for those that do, here are some views of this world that one might overlook!
Nothing makes me happier than seeing the bees busy buzzing around. I was lucky to catch this bee collecting pollen from my broccoli.
Wandering around Fort Yellowstone we came upon this grove of trees and I was looking up at the boughs of the tree, a flutter caught my eye. What fluttered was this lovely creature!
Also from Yellowstone, as we made our way along a trail to see some of the incredible geothermal sights, I found a tree that held the remains of a buffalo that had a pretty good itchy spot!
While visiting my friend M at her house here in town, I grabbed my camera to catch the lovely details of some moss!
One day at work I spied this little creature that has amazing details to see, only if you stop and look closely…
Back at home in my garden I find recently planted seeds beginning to emerge from the ground.
For a future post, I will be featuring the beauty found in weeds. While taking those photos, I came across this lone feather.
I hope that you have enjoyed your time cruising through a world often overlooked! Please check out some what some of the other folks are featuring in this photo challenge by clicking here!
Thank you for stopping by today, and I hope that you have a great weekend!

Thank you for the trackback!
All beautiful photos Barb. When we spent a couple of years in Yellowstone, watching the owl and her babes was one of the great pastimes for all of us.
If you go back and look at the photo of the owl again, you can see the nest to the left…
That owl is so well camouflaged you did very well to see him and then to get the photo
Why thank you!
Great entry! I didn’t see the owl until I looked twice…!
That is why I chose that photo! It was perfect for the subject “overlooked!” Thanks Ann for the comment!
Wonderful photos Barb.
Thank you KK!
What GREAT photos! You VERY OBVIOUSLY have the knack at capturing nature at its finest. If you don’t mind me asking, what type of camera do you use? Thank you! Hope you have a great day too!
Thanks Joanne! I use a Canon Rebel.
Great photos as always! Like the close up of the bee. And yes – we all often miss the other world around us.
Love the sprout of life renewing itself!
I always find that simply amazing! Don’t you?
Every spring I begin my seeds indoors!
Mine start in the greenhouse, although this year might be different. I did not plant until May 15th last year but spring is here already!
I started a little project today! Not so motivated yet ……
Absolutely nothing keeps my favorite blogger down for long. Great to see your life-affirming post in the midst of sorrow. You’re a real trooper, Barb!
Love to you and Paul,
Marcy
Thank you Marcy! Back at you!
I love mosses and the seedling and then the cake, the beautiful feather.
Thanks Cuidado! I thought finding the feather was pretty amazing!
I love the Bee in the broccoli! 🙂
Me too! Thank you Cindy for the comment!
Beautiful!
Thank you Liz!
they are all beautiful! i was so busy looking at the beautiful tree, that i looked straight past the owl!
as you know, painting is a silent task, and my mind wanders many places or goes very still and is more like a dream state. i’ve thought of both of you often and hope that the week is going as well as can be expected. you both must be numb.
it’s good to see you here and dedicated to the wild weekly. i hope to get some good shots for this one – the floor’s inside, so that won’t count, and i’ve barely set foot past the bodega floor, the kitchen or to crash very late at night into a deep slumber.
you amaze me! great post!

Thank you for your kind words! We are indeed numb! Hugs Z and thank you again! Barb and Paul
