The WordPress challenge this week is right up my alley! The subject is Lost in the Detail. Thank you to Christopher Martin for picking this subject! He asks that you look beyond what your eye first sees to capture the details of what can be found within, only if you look close enough! So, let’s head into my world of getting lost in the detail!
I spend a lot of time in my garden, and within the garden there is a plethora of detail, only if you take the time to look for that detail! I sat myself down one day in front of my broccoli that was blooming to hopefully catch a bee doing her thing, and I got lucky! Check out the fur coat on this honeybee!
Everyone has seen a dandelion, right? But have you seen one up close? Check out the detail that is found within this lovely flower!
Are you looking for Prince Charming? If you give this one a kiss who knows what will happen!
Do you like the candy bar Almond Joy? Well, here is a shot of one of those lovely blossoms that will become an ingredient into that sweet treat!
In the spring, the lavender begins to blooms and an amazing variety of bees come to visit. It was not until I uploaded this photo that I discovered the amazing detail in this one’s eye! Be sure to click on this photo to enlarge it, and then do it again one more time to see the amazing pattern in the eye of this critter!
Weeds! So many weeds and so little time! Even though you might not want them in your yard, getting close to one shows some amazing details. The center of this weeds looks to me like the shuttle crafts leaving the mothership!
Periwinkle, or Vinca, has a lovely blue flower. Unless you look up close to this flower you might miss the amazing center of this blue flower!
Now here is a challenge for you! Can you find the frog in this next photo?
Thanks to the folks from WordPress, and to Christopher Martin for this challenge! Here are a few challenge photos that I really like!

Lovely photos!
Awesome! LOVE the frog! 😆
beautiful pictures
Thank you Ryan!
Great photos, Barb! I didn’t know bees could be so different from each other. I like your idea of the shuttle crafts leaving the mother ship. And I had to enlarge the last photo 2X to find Waldo. I don’t even know how you found him in the first place! (Good name for a frog, by the way.) All the photos are beautiful. Thank you!
I am glad that you enjoyed my photos Marcy!
Love the frog Barbara!
They hang with us in the summer time on the front deck. They have made a home of my elephant planter using the drip tray as a swimming pool. At night they come out to be with us and wander around. I will hopefully catch some video of them making their way down the deck for an evening stroll!
Found Waldo, liked the eye detail in enlarging the yellow/black insect photo, great photos and zoomed in detail to show a miniature world that most of us don’t stop a moment to take a look at.
Amazing isn’t it!
This challenge was perfect for your talents Barb. With each photo my smile just grew larger! Thanks for a lovely start to my day. 🙂
Ahhh…Thank you LuAnn!
