This week’s WordPress photo challenge is the changing seasons. I wanted to find photos to share with you that show each of the seasons, and what could be better than to see how the seasons change at a vineyard? Here in the Foothills we get to enjoy all four seasons. So let’s go take a look at what we get to see in a vineyard where I work…
Let’s start with spring! With the season of spring beginning in the vineyard, the juices start to flow as the vine awaken after winter and the vines experience what is called bud break.
As the season moves from spring to summer the grapes develop into lovely clusters.Fall brings crush and the grapes are brought in. The vines start to change color, and the sweeping expanses are an amazing display of color. The temperatures cool, the leaves drop, and winter moves in. At this time of the year the vines go dormant. And while the vines sleep we get snow!It is the continuing cycle of life that brings us beauty with each season! If you would like to enter this challenge, click here.
Here are a few of the entries that I really enjoyed and maybe you will too!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I hope that you have a great Saturday!
Wonderful photos and what a great theme! The cycle through the vineyard is most enjoyable:>)
Thank you Sharla! These were the only photos that I had which I could capture the changing seasons.
