When I look at the world around me I see a world filled with art! It can be found everywhere, not only in the bark of a tree, or the texture in the rocks, it can be found right after a night with freezing temperatures. Grabbing my camera and I head outdoors to see what delights nature has for me. And here are pieces of art that are, for the moment anyway, frozen in time!
I step right outside my front door and am greeted with not only frost, but rainwater frozen on our railings. Taking a close look at the frozen rainwater one can see air bubbles frozen in time.
When you add sunshine and shadows, and throw in a bit of imagination, one can see the art nature gives to us!
Wandering over to the bird bath, I tap on the piece of ice. It is frozen solid, and has captured in time along with it, pine needles.
I head over to the side deck where our railing is painted green. Here, rather than frozen rain water, the railing is covered with frost.
The patterns one can find is part of the beauty that Mother Nature gives to us. We just need to stop and take the time to look at the beauty found within…
Being that it is a mere 29 degrees out, I decide to head back in. I stop one more time to view the water on the railing. It has begun to melt yet the beauty is still there!
Next time you venture outside after a frosty night, I hope that you stop to take the time to see what is frozen in time!

Gorgeous pictures Babs 🙂 Too many people ignore the detail, and there is so much joy in discovering what the eye doesn’t see straight away.
Thank you Claire! I love the detail that one can find when one takes the time to stop and look. I look around me all the time!
These are beautiful. It is wonderful that you captured these images before they melted away.

AMAZING photographs, Barb! Nature provides the beauty, but it’s your artist’s eye and photographic skill that turns it into art. Simply beautiful!
Thank you Marcy!
Great photos. One’s imagination can see many forms within the ice and frost patterns. Thanks for sharing, keep warm!
Lovely
Thanks Barb!
