Have a great Tuesday!
i have no idea what that crimson leafed plant is, but it is stunning! z
Virginia Creeper. We bought these plants to cover the fence in order to hide the school bus yellow, stop sign red, navy blue and sky blue tennis court that our neighbors added to their yard. I works to a point, but we were unaware it would shed leaves in the winter. We are thankful for the redwoods that they did plant which will hide most of it. And, we have a beautiful fence of red in the fall, and a lovely green wall in the spring and summer months!
i loved the part, ‘that our neighbors added to their yard.’ i expelled a burst of a laugh!
thank goodness for the redwoods that help soften the view when your lovely virginia creeper is dormant!
We were hoping that the pool would be on the shared fence side and that we could make nice with them. When we realized the court was going in we thought that a green court wouldn’t be that bad, and that is when the colored tiles of this thing showed up. It doesn’t match a thing in the yard, but we are grateful that the years of growth are beginning to hide the vision I see from my kitchen window every day! 🙂
disappointments like that always make me wish i had enough money to buy a zillion acres where i could fence it in, save all of the trees, invite lots of wildlife, and not be frustrated by neighbors’ with conflicting aesthetic taste!
We are making the best of it! I put in some great trees, like the Chinese Pistachio and Liquid Amber! Makes a nice color contrast! The Golden Raintree is going in next year…It will be lovely in spring, summer and fall!
sounds lovely! i\m starting from scratch after the muni pushed down the mangroves. we’re lucky that everything grows at an amazing speed here.
Mangroves are truly amazing looking trees! How sad that they were pushed down!
Nice sentiments!
Thank you!
