For today:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love.
Where there is injury, pardon.
Where there is doubt, faith.
Where there is despair, hope.
Where there is darkness, light.
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled, as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive.
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.
This prayer is one of my favorites and was written by St. Francis of Assisi. May you be an instrument of peace today and always…

Thanks I needed that! Blessings!
Back at you Trish!
Typically I complain when I get a song stuck in my head, but this is one I love so thank you! Such a lovely prayer.
You are welcome! It is one of my favorites! Thank you for the comment! Please come back and visit again!
St. Francis was ahead of his time for the 1200’s, he is also the patron saint of animals and the namesake of San Francisco, CA. Thanks for sharing his thoughts and sentiments. You don’t have to be religious to see the wisdom of the words.
I agree! Thank you for your comment PJ!
Beautiful.
