What the heck kind of title is that for a blog post? It is the call of the Pacific Tree Frog! These little creatures live here in the Sierra Foothills and around our house we have quite a few! Enjoy the photos!
This is a male. The next photo is a female showing the distinguishing mark of this frog: The stripe from the nose to across the eye. We are well past the mating season, and the babies are now around. If they sit still for long enough I will try to get some photos of them to share. They are about the size of a dime!Have a great day!

Love the photo’s and the call of tree frogs 🙂
AHHH frogs scare me!
Great photos, hope you’ll be able to get some of the youngsters.
Is that kermit’s adopted cousin? Great shots!
Sure is! Thanks Christine!
Great photos! I stalk the frogs and geckos and iguanas as well! They surely say, “Hide quick! Here she comes again!” I have no photos of the babies and look forward to yours. Z
