Today is the one year anniversary of Life in the Foothills on WordPress. It has been an amazing year needless to say! A huge thanks to all of you who follow my blog and to those of you who have given me a thumbs up with the likes! This has been a truly amazing adventure and has changed my life and you, my dear readers, have been a part of that change! For that, I thank you!
Writing this blog made me discover parts of myself that have been silent for a long time. I began not really knowing what it was that I wanted to do, and I have seen myself and this blog evolve over time. I look forward every day to posting something new that mixes photography with the everyday occurrences of life.
I thought that to celebrate the day, I would share with you my top 12 posts, one for each month of the year. These are the posts most viewed by readers. So let’s start with number 12 and work our way back up to number 1.
12 – The Town of Placerville This post gave you a tour of the quaint town where I live. It certainly has charm and character as well as a lot of history!
11 – My Name is Opie This article was inspired by photos of Opie who is the proud owner of Shirley, my friend Jane’s cousin. Such a cute face! Thank you to Opie, Shirley and Jane for sharing this lovely photos with me!
10 – Yogi-isms I love the comments made by Yogi Berra and so do you!
9 – Maple Glazed Rotisserie Ham Can’t you just smell the rich aroma’s wafting off this beauty?
8 – Skinner Winery in Fairplay This quaint winery made the top 12 list! I urge you to visit Skinner should you find yourselves here in the area!
7 – Back in Time – Jerome, AZ Another quaint town with many, many artists and ghosts too! If you find yourself any where near this spot, I highly recommend that you visit!
6 – Unusual BBQ’s Who doesn’t love something a bit odd? Apparently, you do and so do I!
5 – National Cold Cuts Day I love cold cuts! Can’t you just taste the sandwich made with these lovely meats?

2 – Chemistry in Cooking It was interesting for me to see how many folks looked at this post. I am amazed at the interest, but you folks were curious too!
And now, for the number one post of this year…The envelope please?

On Friday I’ll be flying Ottawa, Chicago, Los Angeles, Sydney and the Canberra. If you can find me at an airport I’ll carry 🙂
I will be sending this to you by snail mail. The cost of UPS is $115! It weighs less than one pound! I will be going to get gas tomorrow, so will post tomorrow! Not sure how long it will take. Let me know how you like this! I hope that your trip was good!
Thanks Barb. If it’s too expensive please don’t go out of your way. I really appreciate the gesture though.
