I got up this morning, and ran out of time to do a post before going to work. Regarding the raccoons having visited my garden, this morning there was no evidence that they were there! So, maybe the black pepper, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon mix worked. I reserve my opinion as this was only one day. What were they after in the strawberry bed?
I wanted you to see some of the new plantings close up. Hopefully all of the plants will be there next weeks, and the weeks thereafter…Never know with the critters here in the Foothills, even with all precautions taken.
If you really love cantaloupe this variety is the one for you! Very sweet and a thin skin.
Something caught my eye on the raspberry patch. Here is what I spied…
And, you need to see what a raspberry blossom looks like up close.
Where are the petals, you might be asking. I never see any. This is the actual flower!
Well, the garden will be developing. There is more to be planted. Stay tuned for updates!
my mom grows strawberries too! 🙂
Lots of lovely new plants – I hope those pesky raccoons stay away!
Me too!
Good to hear no more racoons, yet. So far your garden looks great.
