I find myself itching to start getting ready for the spring season. I have done some clean up in the vegetable bed, but what really needs work is the greenhouse. Come and take a look with me…
Pots are strewn around, tools are in no particular spot, and dead weeds abound from the rock floor. If the weather continues the way that it has this season, I need to get this place in order! So, I straightened up and organized! Now let’s take a look at what I am planning on putting in!My mouth is already watering thinking about all the different flavors that my garden will produce. Did you notice the potatoes? The first year we lived here I grew Kenebeck potatoes and they made for some really tasty fries! This year I will be growing these in special potato pots!Maybe you noticed that there are no tomato seeds. I have a source for heirloom tomatoes and I get these as early as possible.
Stay tuned for future posts as I take you through getting started this growing season, and follow along as it progresses!

Oooh you have a greenhouse! So cool! Can’t wait to see your upcoming harvest 🙂
Hope your growing season goes great, you should have a bounty with all those seeds.
I’m not really a gardener. When I was a child we grew all our vegetables and fruit. Now I’m lazy. I do enjoy knowing that people grow their own. I hope the world doesn’t completely go to supermarket food.
I am so jealous- I would love to have a greenhouse like that! A friend recently told me about potato bags and I think I am going to give them a try. What are potato pots?
Good luck on your harvest, it all looks wonderful!
It is a fabric pot that the gophers cannot break through. You lay soil in the pot add the potatoes and cover them. As the green shoots develop you need to cover the shoots a total of three times to help in the development of the potato. Thank you for the good wishes…I always keep my fingers crossed!
You are a busy bee
BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!
