Hi, just popped in for the first time, because I saw you ask about chickens in the cold on another site, we have chickens in Illinois, last year we were below 10F for almost 2 weeks and never lost a chicken. We were under snow for months. Lice can be a problem though we have never had them, you just sprinkle lice powder on their perches. If you add a little cider vinegar to their water, and give them yoghurt occassionally it will keep them healthy and they are less prone to any nasties. We love our chickens and have eggs all year round.. c

Just saw your blog. Answering the poll would be unfair and uninformative. I love some (most) of your photos and the dishes look good but I haven’t had time to try them (I just found you, right?). I will continue to look at them and when I do try one, I will let you know. Fair enough? Just keep posting. 🙂
