I do remember Princess phones and TV Trays and dinners (mostly Swanson). The Nut Tree was the only major attraction in Vacaville. Hai Karate cologne was there and so was Noxzema, which is still around. Dippity Do too. Prell Shampoo was used to wash out my mouth as a kid when I swore. But do you remember Tame, the hair detangler? I remember and still have a Brownie Camera which was pre instamatic cameras with flashcubes. Lon Simmons and Russ Hodges…hmmm. I remember them too, and I remember my Grandpa telling me that when there was a pause in their announcing of a Giants game that they were drinking beer. Maybe Falstaff? Used to use the mimeographs at the school and loved the smell of the paper after it ejected. Moms Mabley and Phyllis Diller appeared on the Merv Griffin show as did Totie Fields. Johnny Carson was around for years. Do you remember the show when the gal from the San Diego Zoo brought the cats to the show? The leopard moved towards Johnny and he ran and did a flying leap into Ed McMahon’s arms.

I remember baseball and football cards with bubble gum. I think they were 10 cents.
I remember Marshal J.
I remember Sky King.
I remember My Friend Flicka.
I remember Flash Gordon and Tom Corbett.
Dark Shadows is still the coolest soap opera ever.
I remember going to the drive-in and seeing a heavyweight championship fight (Ingemar Johansson vs. Patterson) in addition to a movie.
OK, Barb, I hope that in addition to remembering the long term memories, you still remember where you put your keys this morning, otherwise, you are in big trouble.
OK, now what’s interesting is that we are going back 50 years, but I still feel like I’m in my 30s.
