I love the snow! As it falls everything gets really quiet. There is something hypnotizing about the gently falling flakes! I could sit for hours watching it, which I did yesterday. I shared some photos yesterday, but wanted to share a bit more of this beauty with you today! I have a few shots in this post, and a video that you can watch too!
Let’s go and check it out!
The dog loves the snow! Here he is eating snow! I swear that he is smiling! I love the way the snow sparkles! When I got up this morning it was absolutely glorious! Clear skies and blue and white everywhere! Here is the sun rising in the foothills.
One more shot!I did take a video yesterday of the gently falling snow…If you would like to see how beautiful and peaceful this can be…
As I am unable to drive the roads yet, I am grabbing my camera to take some more photos to share! See you tomorrow and thank you for stopping by!

The video allowed me to enjoy the snow without feeling the cold!
That was my hope. It really is beautiful when it snows!
Simply delicious!
Absolutely lovely!
Nature’s blessing you with it’s best scenery!
Stay tuned for more lovely snow photos!
Yes, I’m loving the snow, too! My first one since moving to Placerville. Looking out the window now at snow-laden branches sparkling in the sun against a blue sky. Fabulous! Loved the photos and the video, Barb.
Thank you Marcy! Your house looks so quaint in the snow!
I guess anything built in 1953 or earlier could be called quaint. And I was built even earlier than THAT!
Charming and quaint!
Aw Astro is super cute.
He is very super cute!
Aloha Barbara and mahalo for sharing your snow day pictures and particularly the video of yesterday’s falling snow. Beautiful! I share your enthusiasm for snow and have experienced the “quiet” that you mentioned when it’s snowing. Despite the cold, I would have been out frolicking in the snow. Brings out the kid in me. More about the snow please.
Yes, Roy! More snow please!
Snow can be wonderful, to ski on, play in, watch it fall, BUT no shoveling! Thanks for the nice photos and video.
Absolutely love the sunset shot and the video. Oh how I miss the Sierras.
Come and visit!
Would love to!
Let me know when you are in the area! Placerville that is!
Will do!
Glorious sunset.
It was truly amazing to see the colors comes up! My feet were frozen as I stood there for about 20 minutes to get that shot!
I’m sure they were. We’re so used to tropical sunsets where you can feel the heat. But this one is the opposite, cool and clear. Fabulous.
Thank you Fransi!
