Today, I grabbed the camera and headed outside. There is something about an overcast winter morning, the briskness in the air, the smell of woodsmoke, and all kinds of nature just waiting for someone like me to come along and capture the beauty and simplicity of it all! So, come on and take a stroll down the road with me to see what my lens finds!
The area around Mosquito Bridge is quite spectacular at this time of year. The little ferns are a vivid green against the backdrop of the greens and browns of the moss that covers the granite boulders that reside in this canyon where the bridge makes its home. Let’s take a look shall we?
I hope that you enjoyed the photos that I posted today!
Thank you for coming along today! Have a great day!

These would have been perfect for WordPress’s green photographic topic! Great photos
I posted this and other greens not knowing that there would shortly be challenges! The place was beautiful where I snapped these photos!
These reminded me of our time at Fern Canyon in Redwood NP. Great photos Babs.
Thank you LuAnn!
So nice to see some green! Two more months of winter here.
It is very pretty! In the summer it all turns brown!
Moss and ferns always remind me of the forest, guess it’s what I experienced as a young child. The green colors are also something that makes up a forest and as Playmart – Zeebra Designs mentioned – your photos not only recall stories of fairies and trolls, but Robin Hood, living in Sherwood, as well.
Many thanks for your comment PJ!
it looks like a magic wonderland where fairies and trolls hide behind ferns and ancient trees!
Ah, but they do! If you look closely you might see a fairy peeking her head from under a fern leaf!
