In coming up with a topic for today, I chose to focus on the color green. Green surrounds us in our everyday lives. There are so many different shades of this color, it is hard to choose a favorite shade…How about we take a walk through all the shades of green I have found in my neck of the woods? OK! Let’s go!
Here is one of the native plants in this area that is a lovely green shade. It puts out a beautiful flower stalk loaded with yellow flowers. Rumor has it that the miners used the leaves of this plant as we would toilet paper…rumor – OK?
At this time of year the moss explodes with color! It goes dormant in the summer, turning brown.
How about two different views of the forest? The first is of the rolling hillsides of the foothills taken from the air, and the second looking through the trees.
From this last spring, the lovely greens found in blowing grasses…
Looking close to the ground, we find this lovely green! And this one!
Stopping by the lake, we find one last shade of green!
Thank you for coming along and for visiting today! Now go and have a great Tuesday!
