When I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area, we rarely had sunrises as beautiful as we do here in the Foothills. The reason being that most mornings the bay is shrouded in fog. We are happy that we live above the fog belt here, and that we get to enjoy beautiful sunrises. They are the best in the winter and spring due to there being some type of clouds in the sky. In summer we rarely have clouds! Waking up this morning, I witnessed an amazing display of color that I had to share with you!
The moon even made an appearance! It is in the upper right on the next two photos!
Here are a couple of shots from December 2012.
It is just beautiful – don’t you think? Well, time to get ready to head off to work! I hope that you have a lovely Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Stunning Babs
Beautiful sunrise!
Awesome, just absolutely awesome!
I think we should schedule a day with you and Penny to watch the sunrise! Interested? Skype?
This could be done! I have the webcam capability on my laptop but just have not set it up. Perhaps this is the incentive!
Thank you for the beautiful photos.
Thank you John for the comment! I am happy that you found the beauty in them just as I did!
I live sunrises. It’s funny. Ours was also beautiful today.
I enjoy every morning in winter and spring because in these mornings we get the most incredible sunrises! Thank you for the comment Fransi!
Simply beautiful! But I tend to see our sunsets more than I do the sunrises! I’m sure you have some great shots of our sunsets as well.
Stay tuned tumbleweeds!
Your sunrise photos remind me of the sunrises at my house, just wonderful and what a nice, colorful, way to start the day.
Hee hee! You must live somewhere near me!
